As I read the article By Natalie Nold, a senior at Mekeel Christian Academy, I started to notice how bad things were for other people. Sweatshops are a terrible thing. They happen all over the world and you might not even know it. Example Nike, Nike has Bangladesh workers working under "unfair conditions". Such as low pay, bossy owners, and buildings that aren't safe.
In my poem “The Sweatshop” I realized that these people are going through such a tough and unfair labor. The 1st person point of view really got me thinking “What if I was doing this? What if we were treated that way?” reading poem compared to article, there was no competition. The poem was way more descriptive and detailed. They gave amazing evidence to show what life was like for them and why it was a bad thing. Overall this poem was great and gave me a good understanding of what sweatshops were like.
